Welcome to the website for Sornson Show Steers... We've been in the cow-calf business for five generations. Grandpa Elmer bought his first Shorthorn breeding heifer at age 12 for a 4-H project. From there, the herd grew to 65 head selling seed stock along the way. In 1977, we decided to go a different direction. We bought a three-quarter Maine-Anjou bull, Son of Dabla, and in 1979 we sold our first club calves. In 1980, we started artificially inseminating our cows for the club calf market. Since then, we have raised county fair to major show champions and have met a lot of good families and made friends along the way.
